Grandpa always quipped, "If everybody liked the same thing they'd all be chasing Grandma." With that pearl of wisdom in mind we offer a Custom Order Program which provides you the ability to get a carpetbag that is "really you".

Custom ordering is a very simple procedure. You go shopping locally, buy an exterior fabric and send it to us. We use it to custom craft the carpetbag model of your choice and send it back to you,
all for the price of an in-stock carpetbag of the same model. (MADISON @ US$129.50, BELLE MEADE @ US$139.50, ANTIOCH @ US$144.50).

Here is what we need you to do so we can craft your custom carpetbag exactly like you want it:

1. Buy. Purchase the exterior fabric. A minimum of one and one-half yards in a width of 54 inches or wider is required. We like tapestries but can work with almost any fabric you desire. If you prefer your lining to be other than the stock lining which we provide, select your lining fabric and purchase the same amount as listed above for the exterior fabric.

Suggestion. If you need to shop around for fabric, may we suggest that you not overlook the bargain-priced remnant stores. They buy short lengths called mill ends allowing them to offer first line goods at exceptionally low prices.

2. Container. Stop by the Post office (USA) and ask at the counter for a large Priority Mail cardboard box; they are free.

3. Paperwork. Furnish info as requested on the |Order Page| and be sure to include your comments, special instructions, and questions, no matter how trivial they may seem.

4. Wrapping. To protect the fabric, wrap it completely. Nothing special is required, clean paper or plastic grocery bags serve well for this purpose. Do not use newspapers or other printed material, the inks rub off and may soil the fabric.

5. Addressing. Write directly on the Priority Mail container, no label is required, your return address and our shipping address as:

6. Packaging. Insert pre-wrapped fabric and |Order Page| info into the box; no additional packing or fillers are needed. Close the end flaps of box and secure with tape. If you have no tape the Post Office counter clerk can help you seal it.

7. Shipping. Take the box to your Post Office for mailing.

8. Confirmation. You will be sent e-mail confirming our receipt of your parcel, advising you of the scheduled completion date (usually less than a week) and notifying you on the actual day your completed custom carpetbag is shipped.
